Installing VS Code

For both macOS and Windows

1. Head over to the official VS Code download page: https://code.visualstudio.com/download

2. You'll see a big download button. Click it and choose the version that matches your operating system (Mac or Windows).

For macOS

Once downloaded, the file might be a zipped archive. Double-click it to extract the application. Now, find the extracted application named "Visual Studio Code.app". Drag and drop this icon to your Applications folder. You can launch VS Code by opening the Applications folder and double-clicking the "Visual Studio Code.app" icon. To keep VS Code easily accessible, right-click the icon in your Dock (the bar at the bottom of your screen) and choose "Keep in Dock".

For Windows

The downloaded file will likely be an installer (.exe). Double-click it to begin the installation. The installation process is straightforward. In most cases, you can just keep clicking "Next" until it finishes. pen_spark
